Carousel, carousel,

As an old time machine,

Carrying memories of childhood,

Memories of youth,

Memories of old age, 

When I was in my childhood

Mom took me to play on a carousel

Each turn,

I grew up a second.

Each Turn and turn

Seconds and seconds

Until

I became a mother.

I took my kids to play on a carousel

Each turn,

My children grew up a second

Each Turn and turn

Seconds and seconds

Until

My children became mother and father

I became a grandmother

My children took my grandchildren to play on a carousel

Each turn,

My grandchildren grew up a second

Each Turn and turn

Seconds and seconds

Until

End of time

Or maybe

Time never ends

Neither does the carousel
